FITS:    1.2 and 1.6 and 2.0 TDI CR (Common Rail) engines in VW, Audi, Seat, Skoda, will not fit the PD’s engines

Benefits of blocking EGR

3.  Helps prevents soot build up in intake  manifold, and valve’s, which will lower the power

Laser cut blanking plates, made from 304 stainless steel. The  plate that fit on the inlet manifold is 3mm and the exhaust manifold is  4mm thick. The 2 plates that cover the port that passes through the  cylinder head are 1.5mm, 2 plates in all. They have been rumbled to make  it smooth and give it an abraded surface that gives a better seal, plus  removes all sharp edges (so no cutting of the fingers) .
This  kit is so that the pipe  that runs from the cylinder  head to the inlet manifold can be removed. Access to the Oil filter is  then much simpler. Also so the EGR valve/cooler unit can be removed The  pipe is just unbolted, and removed, as is the mixer that fits into the  inlet manifold (a big restriction, and due to a manufacturing mistake  often fit the wrong way up, as was the one pictured ), the 2 plate are  then bolted on with the existing gaskets. The inlet gasket is a rubber  ring type, and the others are spring steel, so are fine to be reused  again.

It gives a cleaner pick up at  lower revs because it lowers the amount of exhaust gas being recycled.  It will put the engine management light on, so it will need remapping out the ECU.

This kit will need to have the EGR system removed from the  ECU (re-mapped), also the water circuit connected together after the  cooler is removed, which is not supplied. It is presumed that you do  know what you are doing when fitting this kit, and what is involved.
