Petrol (Naturally Aspirated)
Remapping a petrol engine ECU will produce 10 – 15% BHP depending on exact specification, the engine will also be more responsive on initial acceleration and produce more torque (up to 20%) through out the entire rev range, giving more response on lighter throttle.
Petrol (Turbo)
Remapping a petrol turbo engine ECU will produce 20 – 30% BHP depending on exact specification, the engine will be significantly more responsive with power coming in immediately relative to throttle input with no lagging at higher revs. This large increase in power & torque gives far more flexibility in all gears reducing the need to change down unnecessarily to overtake safely and quickly.
Diesel (turbo)
Remapping a diesel turbo engine ECU will produce 30 – 50% BHP and 40 – 75% torque depending on exact specification, diesel engines give the most impressive power and torque gains available. Extra power is gained through out the entire rev range and under all load conditions.

Excellent experience overall. I wanted a place to do a simply rolling road run to see what power my car was making i.e... no tuning, just power runs. Had a mobile remap on a Zafira Tourer 2.0cdti, impressed with the results from Stage 1 Remap. Much more power, car is... more responsive when needing to speed up. Fuel consumption is close to 50mpg on outer city miles, was running at roughly 43mpg on average before. Remap will pay for itself in just a few months. You are the seller selling non CE marked, carbon clean machine on EBay right? The machine has no CE mark which is not... legal to sell in UK, it is a plastic polish machine with CT Clean sticker on. I still have your machine here, please send me a label so that I can return it.read more

When I bought my van, I didn't realise it had been restricted, but decided to put up with it. After many, many long... drives it became apparent I needed a little more speed, so I decided to ask around for advice and the majority mentioned Carlton Tuning. I popped round, and after an informative chat with the staff, got booked in for de-restricting and an eco re-map. The van now feels like it drives better (and definitely a bit quicker!)
The staff are friendly, helpful and accommodating, and I would happily recommend them to anyone. 5 stars well deserved!read more

Always used This company and I now know John the director personally after using a large main agent corporate company... no names but very expensive for many year I was recommend to Carlton tuning on Facebook and ever map has been to my liking “nothing Generic” unless stated, the price is too cheap but let’s keep that to ourselves, hope this continues and the company grows to new dealers or to new premises, always a happy customer threw thick and thin BMW 335d ran 417.9hp was 313hp std and transit connect 1.6d 95hp to 160.3hp hybrid REMEMBER DONT PUSH IT IF YOU CANT AFORD A NEW ENGINE stick to stage 1 !!! Highly recommended ~ took my Mazda 6 Sport for remapping and its now producing 50-60bhp more. They cleaned the DPF... later, and it's always been a real pleasure to drive, but now it has all those extra horses it really accelerates, but still very economical when driven normally.
